Diamond EHT Pins Superior performance in high speed, high temperature, or abrasive environments Diamond EHT (Enhanced Hardening Treatment) is an optional pin heat treatment available on most carbon steel Diamond Series roller chains*. EHT pins have undergone a unique case-hardening process that maintains the pin hardness in high speed, high temperature, or abrasive environments where regular lubrication is not practical. These difficult environments can actually reduce the hardness of a typical pin, resulting in decreased wear performance and decreased wear life. With the ability to maintain their hardness, EHT pins offer superior wear performance. EHT is not a coating, but rather an enhancement to the case hardening of the pin itself. In contrast to platings, EHT pins more closely and consistently match the hardness of the bushings – enabling superior performance in difficult conditions without adverse wear in ambient environments.
*Diamond EHT pins are available on most carbon steel material Diamond Series roller chains, with the exception of high strength, hoist and lift chain. Those chains utilize medium carbon through-hardened steel pins for higher tensile strength and fatigue resistance (but less wear life). EHT is not available on stainless steel chains. To specify EHT pins, add “EHT” to the product part number (e.g. 60 EHT).

Warning:
1. Power should be switched off before installation, removal, lubrication or service of a chain system.
2. when connecting or disconnecting chain:
(a.) wear safety glasses, protetive clothing, and safety shoes.
(b.) Support the chain to prevent movement.
(c.) Use appropriate tools for connecting and disconnecting chain and sprockets.
3. Replace chain with an elongation of 3% or more.
4. The elongated chain will have heavy Slatkness and will jump out of sprocket during a ttempt to connect or disconnect chain.
5. Drive mechanism is well understod.
6. Chains are pre-lubricated and sot be cleaned prior to installation.
7. Do dette??ue disassembled chain parts. Do Spot-use reworked chain or join reworked chain with a new chain.
8. Never use acid, alkali or general rust removal solvents to clean a chain. Never use a new chain on an old sprocket. Replace chains and sprockets together.
9. After end of usage kindly dispose it as metal scrap to appropriately.

EC specifications
• EC bushes are absolutely cylindrical and mostly seamless, depending on chain type. Special wound versions also available.
• EC chain plates have optimized dimensions, are precisely formed, hardened and tempered for greater durability. The plates are also blue-annealed.
• EC pins have a smooth, high-strength wear-optimized surface.
• EC rollers are manufactured as seamless solid cylinders; a special surface treatment process ensures high wear resistance.
• Clearly defined grades of heat-treated and case-hardened steel alloys are used for all chain components.
• Initial lubricant is EL-4
• Various initial lubricants are possible, depending on application requirements.
• Pair-matched chains of equal length can also be supplied.
